Wish I'd read this before embarking on the unglamorous life of a technical copyeditor. Could have saved me a bit of stress. Good pointers on how to work with writers (or in my case, engineers). Too bad I had to learn most of them the hard way. There were a lot of times I wanted to whack people over the head with a heavy copy of the Chicago Manual of Style.
Best closing advice: "Remember, it's only a book." I have to remind myself of that sometimes. It's just a silly little document. It's not worth forming deep wrinkles over it. Now go forth and may your house style sheet and CTRL+H (Find and Replace) be your new best friends.
